From Mr. Stephens : Senior Dues

Senior dues are $75 and should be paid to Ms. Kristie in the EMMP Office.

Seniors must pay their dues to participate in Senior Activities and walk across the stage at graduation.

Seniors who have not paid their dues by April 21st, will lose out on the full complement of 10 tickets. If a senior pays after the 21st, they will be able to walk, but they will only receive 2 tickets to graduation.

The TN Promise Scholarship Mandatory Meeting has been rescheduled at JOHS for Wednesday April 19th at 5:30 pm.  This is the LAST meeting for the TN Promise organization so if a student has an excusable conflict they must fill out the excuse form on the TN Achieves website ( and attend another school’s meeting PRIOR to the 19th.  If students do not attend this meeting or are late, they will lose the scholarship!

From Mrs. Ginsberg : Year Book Information

Yearbook as available for $80. There are only about 50 left.  See Ginsberg in 185. Cash or check.  No checks after spring break. First come first serve. Once we sell out there are none left.

The cover this year is thermal.  So when you touch it, it will change colors and reveal an image.

From Mr. Esterline : Tutoring

After-school tutoring will be held every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 2:15 to 5:00 in Portable 13. If you are not able to attend, please notify Mr. Esterline at ext. 3083.

From Mr. Trotter : Cambridge Information

Attention all Cambridge AICE students.  There will be a meeting for all students taking AICE exams on Thursday, April 6 at 1:40 in the cafeteria.  You will be dismissed from your 4B class at 1:35.  Please make plans to attend.

From Mrs. Galbrith : National Honor Society

All new candidates for National Honor Society should turn in their applications asap.  We will be holding an induction ceremony on Friday, April 28th at 1PM. If you are a senior and already a member, please plan to attend as well.

From Mr. Douthit : Cambridge T-shirts

All Cambridge students need to see their Cambridge teachers for the link to sign up for t-shirts.  It should be in their email.  The previous link done in January was messed up. Please complete the new link ASAP if you want your free t-shirt.  You can also find info on Cambridge exams on the Cambridge website – and at the informational meeting on Thursday 4/6 at 1:40 in the cafeteria.

The IT Girls mentoring will be moved to Friday, March 10th during lunch at 10:00.  We will be meeting in the new library.

The deadline to apply for youth supported programs through Opportunity Now has been extended to April 7th.  Students wanting information about signing up can check with their teachers, or come to the library.

Attention current Health Science Juniors: If you are interested in becoming part of the 2017-2018 Cohort of st. Thomas health Scholars, please see Beth Wilson in room 262 for application. Deadline for admission is April 4th at 2:05. St Thomas will be accepting 15 students and there will be an interview process with st Thomas facility. Again deadline is April 4th..
